Ogrun Warspears raining their gaint spears upon enemies of Everblight
Warspears are blighted Ogrun that serve in the Legion of Everblight as spear throwers. The force with which they hurl their massive spears is enough to pierce iron and impale a human at thirty paces. The warspears were once hunters of the northern ogrun who maintained many cultural traditions regarding hunting and combat long before Everblight set his sights on their kind. When the dragon sought to subjugate the ogrun and twist their forms with his blight, he preserved and enhanced those traditions most closely associated with war and bloodshed. In many ways, the ogrun were already the perfect warriors to complement the agile Nyss, and Everblight had only to remove their sensibilities in favor of a thirst for blood.[1][2]
Unlike their warmonger brethren who are driven by a powerful bloodlust, the madness of warspears manifest in the form twisted desier to test their strenth aganst powerful enemies like a sport. They relish the opportunity to test their might against more formidable adversaries like trolls, warpwolves, cyclopes, and warjacks. In addition warspears are also more saner and intelligent that the warmongers. These brutal warriors preface frenzied rushes with the deadly arcs of their spears. Enemies not killed outright by this initial onslaught are typically stunned long enough for the blighted ogrun to close and finish the job.[1][2]
