Pyg Lookouts providing long range firepower to advancing Northkin
Pyg Lookouts are Pygs of the Northkin Trollbloods that play a role similar to the Bushwhackers of the United Kriels. Their small size allows them to sneak about at the fringes of conflict and lie in wait unseen while their natural hardiness and adaptability to the elements lets them stay in the field for an indefinite period, sustaining themselves on whatever they can find and in extreme cases can even survive for a time by consuming small stones. Their keen eyes let them spot approaching forces from a great distance, while their size allows them to more easily escape notice.[1]
Pygs make for particularly effective lookouts once they learn to distinguish the markings of a friendly kriel from those of its rivals and are particularly skilled at ambushes and flanking maneuvers in sync with Trollkin Raiders. As the Northkin tend to eschew firearms most of the military rifles salvaged end up in pyg hands who can wield them without extensive modifications and Trollkin weaponsmiths often recast bullets for the kriel’s pyg lookouts.[1]
